Aid deals inked
MINISTER of Economy and Finance Keat Chhon signed two agreements yesterday with Japan International Co-operation Agency chief representative Suzuki Yasujiro for funding of two projects in Cambodia. A 40-year, US$53.3 million loan will fund an irrigation project in Battambang, Pursat and Kampong Chhnang provinces, while a $700,000 grant will fund improved education equipment at the Department of Geo-resources and Geotechnical Engineering at the Institute of Technology of Cambodia, according to a statement.
